BUS 107 - O'Neal: Search the Company Website

This guide will help you find information about companies to prepare you for your persuasive speech.

Searching the Company Website

Once you have found your NYSE company, you should take a look at the company website for several reasons. One, it is the public face of the company - they try to put themselves in the best possible light and have lots of fancy graphics you can show off in your presentation.

More importantly, they also have Investor Relations or For Investors sections that have various required financial documents in them.  These are a great way to get some positive spin for your presentation.  The annual reports are colorful advertisements for a company's products, services and prospects.  These links are often at the bottom of the Home Page.

Yahoo Finance always has a link to the company website, as does CNBC (under Profile).
