Architecture/Architectural Design: Searching the Library Catalog

Library Catalog Search

The Library Catalog is the gateway to discovering hundreds of architecture and design journals, Ebooks and physical books, and much more. Be sure to select the Material Type you want before searching. But what's great is that you can refine your search later!

Since the database has access to millions of items, the best way to search is using the Advanced Search option. This allows you to search specific fields for keywords, to select a material type to search (books or articles or images, etc.). A sample search is demonstrated below:

To search quickly for books about Roman architecture, you could tell the system to search subject headings for the the words roman and architecture with the Materials Type as books.

Catalog search roman architecture books 1

then for physical books:

Catalog search roman architecture books 2

and for Ebooks:

Catalog search roman architecture books 3
