LibGuides Style Guide - Best Practices: Basic Layout

This Guide contains best practices and guidelines for use in designing and publishing LibGuides at TMCC.

Working with Boxes

Boxes are the building blocks of LibGuides. This content is in a Top Box. Introductory material should be placed in a Top Box.

Other content can be placed in Column boxes, for example when you want to feature eBooks next to physical books in the library (see the ANTH 201 Guide as an example).

At TMCC, we do not use Bottom Boxes, but you could perhaps put citations or similar material in a Bottom Box.

The default page layout is set to 3 columns of 25%/50%/25%, but you can customize this as you need to with the Layout options.

With the Page options, you can move or reorder boxes.
