LibGuides Style Guide - Best Practices: Links

This Guide contains best practices and guidelines for use in designing and publishing LibGuides at TMCC.

Links in LibGuides

Links are essential in LibGuides. They lead users to the resources we want to feature.

The most essential thing to keep in mind is to ALWAYS imbed links in textual form - never insert raw HTML links except in the rare cases you want to actually demonstrate something using the raw link. For example, use TMCC Library instead of https://www.tmcc.edu/library.

Links can be incorporated into the text of your Guide or used in lists or really anywhere that you want them (even in images).

Examples of good and bad syntax can be found in the Olympic College Style Guide.
