Jewish American Heritage Month in May recognizes Jewish contributions to American culture, history, military, science, government, and more. In 2006, President George W. Kindertransport (Children's Transport) was the informal name of a series of rescue efforts which brought thousands of refugee Jewish children to Great Britain from Nazi Germany between the years of 1938 - 1940.
